Append fast, consolidate slowly under review. Adding rather than overwriting protected earlier learning, but appending alone did not: the appending method still pulled in the wrong memories. A record that only grows needs a slow, reviewed step that merges, supersedes and retires, as the brain pairs a fast episodic store with slow consolidation.

Why. Audit: "learns without forgetting" overreached. In Chen et al. the appending method (ReasoningBank) also failed, by retrieval; append-only is necessary, not sufficient.

A superseded claim stays admitted: replacing is not deleting.
