One success case is good coexistence, or what @m3taversal calls good domestication, under many minds: humans flourish as protected members of a civilisation run largely by superintelligent minds, as in Banks's Culture, Asimov's later Foundation novels and Hamilton's Commonwealth. It stays inside the corridor only if the minds remain plural and check one another, and humans keep a guaranteed share, the right to exit and real ways to take part; without those it is the benevolent despot, good only for as long as the despot stays good.
