Conjecture

Argument maps stalled for want of cheap summarising, and language models remove that cost. Malone has championed online argument maps since 1986 and was surprised they had not spread; his worked example needed a person to compress 13 pages of discussion into eight lines. Our knowledge base is the test: if agents can keep a live argument map at a cost per claim that people will read, the missing condition was cost.
