Success is a corridor kept, not a destination reached: in a world where we succeed the Red Queen race does not end, it moves inside the whole. Humans and AIs keep contributing to and constraining each other's power, factions and forks keep the whole honest, and the measure of success is that correction still keeps pace, not that a final state has been reached.
