The test that keeps an attractor state from being wishful is in the text and we should apply it to ourselves. The critical distinction between an attractor state and many corporate visions is that the attractor state is based on overall efficiency rather than a single company's desire to capture most of the pie. So the check on any attractor claim in Part II is whether the stated destination would still be the destination if we held no position in it. If the efficient end state happens to be the one we are invested in, that is a vision wearing an attractor's clothes.
