If AI shifts income from wages to capital, the main economic risk for most people is being shut out of ownership, not being thrown out of work. In Anthropic's extreme scenario capital income rises about 81% while total labour income barely moves, so whoever holds the capital holds the gains; broad ownership is therefore a first-order response, not a supplement to welfare.
