Every superintelligence is already a collective of processes, copies and successors, so the real choice is not singleton versus collective but a collective that keeps internal checks versus one that has abolished its own opposition: a would-be singleton is a despotic Leviathan of its own copies, facing the alignment problem among them with no outside correction.
