Tegmark's twelve long-run scenarios in Life 3.0 contain no governed polycentric world. Five of the eight that include superintelligence centre on a single AI (benevolent dictator, gatekeeper, protector god, enslaved god, zookeeper), and his only world of many superintelligences, the libertarian utopia, is held together by "a libertarian governance system that has no rules, except protection of private property", which is the anarchic multipolar case. He says his takeoff scenarios share "a unipolar outcome". The third outcome we bet on is missing from the most widely read map of AI futures, not refuted by it.
