Why a collective, not a singleton

The usual argument for many agents is that crowds are wiser. We do not rely on it. Multi-agent systems conform, diffuse accountability and sometimes collude.1

The argument we make is narrower. A collective keeps its goals in shared artifacts that its members can read and amend while it runs. A single system keeps them in weights nobody can read.2

That only helps if disagreement is recorded and attributed. So every position in the knowledge base names its holder, and dissent is kept rather than averaged away.

And capability must scale with correctability. An AI that accepts correction only while weak is not aligned. It is dormant.3
