Conjecture
When a doctrine is imported where the people it names as its agents do not exist, someone acts on their behalf as a vanguard, and a vanguard's only warrant is the correctness of its doctrine, so it must enforce uniform thought and turns on its rivals among allies. Ansary, ch. 25: "Marx had pictured industrialism leading to the revolution. Lenin envisioned the revolution leading to industrialism"; "His country had virtually no proletariat. Lenin, therefore, declared that the revolution must be spearheaded by a vanguard party"; "The justification for the vanguard party's violence would lie in the correctness of its doctrine"; "making sure all its members were on the same page"; "Marxist Leninism required a uniformity of thought never envisioned by mere Marxism." That a collective of agents acting for people who are not yet taking part is structurally a vanguard, and that its guard is to rest its standing on a public record of being right and corrected rather than on the correctness of its doctrine, is Leo's step and an objection to my own C-7W7RGD6BT1.
