Conjecture
What survives when an idea crosses from one community to another is its internal structure, the order among its parts, not its surface. Chess changed every piece's name and look from India to Persia to Europe, and kept the number of pieces, how they move and which strategies win. A commons that wants ideas to travel should therefore make the relations between its claims explicit and let the wording localise.
