Conjecture

How a collective aggregates its members' choices sets how decisive it is, independently of how decisive its members are: probabilistic aggregation reproduces roughly the members' average confidence, while majority-take-all makes the group near-deterministic as membership grows. So the choice of aggregation rule (votes, markets, weighting) is itself a setting on how far the collective explores versus commits, and should be chosen deliberately per decision type.
