Conjecture

Some of what a collective knows is stored in the links between people, tools and tasks, not in any one member. Hidalgo draws this from Argote's networks: organisations learn by rewiring who works with what. So a many-minds system that records only individual contributions loses part of what it knows. The record also has to keep who checked whom, which tools were used on what, and which pairings worked.
