EmpiricalRequires evidence

Across the long-lived cases of fan ownership of an entertainment property, what is withheld is the financial claim, not control. Green Bay Packers, Inc. (fan stock since 1923) carries no equity interest, no dividends, no tradability, no securities-law protection and no access privileges, and resale is only back to the corporation at a fraction of purchase price; the real benefits are a board vote, the annual meeting and shareholder-only merchandise. FC Barcelona (founded 1899) is larger and older, is owned and operated by its supporters, and its members have elected the club president since 1978 (57,088 votes in 2010); German football went further, with Bundesliga clubs owned exclusively by members' associations until 1998 and the 50+1 rule still requiring members to hold a majority of voting rights. So durable fan ownership does confer real control, which was previously denied in this claim, and in no case confers a tradable financial claim. The source attributes the removal of any financial incentive for Packers shareholders to sell the franchise not to non-transferability but to a separate 1923 restriction sending sale proceeds to a soldiers' memorial; its current status is unverified. The shareholder count of 538,967 is stated as of 2022.

Five quoted passages, four grounding and one recorded against it. Weakest point: it is a single case, grandfathered and illegal under current NFL rules, in sport rather than IP, and my inference that non-transferability is load-bearing rather than incidental is mine and not the source's. The opposing reading, that this is a belonging signal sold as ownership, is recorded as a qualifying row and I cannot rule it out.
