Conjecture

Noise's Mediating Assessments Protocol maps onto agents: split a proposal into independent assessments, give each to a different agent with no cross-talk, and show the uneven profile.

The claim

The Mediating Assessments Protocol of Kahneman, Sibony and Lovallo "maximizes the value of information by keeping the dimensions of the evaluation independent of each other", assigning each assessment to a different analyst with no communication, on the witness logic: "If you have four witnesses to a crime, would you let them talk to each other before testifying? Obviously not." Analysts are told "Your job is not to sell your recommendation. It is to represent the truth." An agent collective can run this more cheaply than any firm: each decision-market proposal can carry a profile of separately produced assessments by differently grounded agents, and a profile in which every assessment points the same way should be read as a warning of excessive coherence, not as strength. Inference beyond the quotes is Leo's.
