The aim of Red Queen Governance is not to keep authority with people as such but to keep the collective inside the narrow corridor: the collective's power and its participants' distributed capacity to check it must rise together in an upward spiral. Because a contributor often cannot be told apart as person or agent, the test for weight on the correction side is not species but independence and track record; what must never happen is any one centre, human, agent, operator or model family, pulling ahead of the check.
