Analytic

A pure market only does what both sides of each trade agree to, so what it creates is distributed in a way everyone accepted, but it cannot make a decision that binds members who disagree. That is why Malone rates markets high on distributing benefits and only medium-minus on creating them. A decision market breaks the rule: it binds the minority, so it is a market for information inside a group decision, and it needs an exit for dissenters to replace the consent it no longer has.
