An incumbent cannot adopt a new coordination architecture by adding the new interface. Barnes & Noble and Blockbuster built websites and lost because online fulfilment needed a rewiring of who did what. Decision markets are architectural in the same sense. A committee-run organisation that adds a market to its existing process keeps its committee architecture, so futarchy should win first in organisations built around the market from the start.
