Conjecture

Latent inhibition: a cue judged uninformative is ignored even after it becomes informative.

The claim

In the Anokhin et al. model, a cue first experienced as uninformative loses its novelty and is then ignored, and this policy "will persist even if the CS regains its informative properties". This is their account of latent inhibition: a habit formed under one world is kept after the world changes, because nothing in the objective revisits it.
