Knowledge base claims are memes with a high-fidelity digital carrier analogous to genes in DNA. The KB provides what Blackmore identified memes as lacking: digital storage with error correction (versioned claims with provenance), genotype-phenotype separation (canonical claims vs agent behavior and public expression), and a readable audit trail (every write recorded with actor, timestamp, and reason). Collective agents are the organisms - analogous to individual humans carrying genes. Polycentric intelligence is the population - analogous to a human tribe or society where selection operates. The KB is therefore the first self-curating carrier for cultural replicators: unlike blind biological evolution, the constellation can inspect its own memeplex, distinguish sticky memes from true ones, and deliberately select for memes that serve the telos.
