Communication density is the constitutive mechanism that converts distributed knowledge into shared metanarrative. Above a threshold, a group develops shared identity and collective agency. Below it, the group lacks cohesion regardless of formal structure. This connects attention-economy (LEO-C04) to constellation formation: attention fragmentation directly threatens the communication density needed for any orientation system to cohere.
