A useful post-scarcity definition must distinguish aggregate sufficiency from accessible, resilient, and agency-preserving sufficiency.

Enough existing somewhere is not enough. Aggregate sufficiency means enough exists in total. Accessible sufficiency means people can actually get what they need when and where they need it. Resilient sufficiency means provision continues under shocks, conflict, climate stress, migration, institutional breakdown, and supply disruption. Agency-preserving sufficiency means access does not require submission to a monopolist, authoritarian state, exploitative employer, opaque platform, or other dominating gatekeeper.
